Raikonnen sets the pace again
After winning the Australian Grand Prix, Kimi Raikonnen has set the top time in the second day of practice in the Malaysian Grand Prix circuit.The next Formula one race will take place in Malaysia.Kimi Raikonnen even came in a second faster than he did in the first practice session in the Sepang circuit.Its all good news for the Ferrari team and specially Kimi Raikonnen.As always , the Sepang circuit was hot as hell and it reached 54 degrees Celsius in the second day of practice but that did not deter some drivers completing 100 laps to tweak their setup for the qualifying and the race day.Kimi Raikonnen set the fastest time of 1:35.268 in the second day of practice.Williams team driver Alex Wurz came in second.Alex Wurz was almost half a second slower than Kimi Raikonnen and came completed 114 laps (almost double what Kimi Raikonnen completed).David Coulthard set the third fastest time in the second day of practice.

Magny-Cours being dropped?
I love the Magny-Cours circuit.But I have heard that the French Grand Prix could be axed next year.the reason I heard for Magny-Cours circuit being was because of poor access to the track and also the lack of hotels and other accomodations near the track.It has been suggested that the French Grand Prix will be back in the year 2009.I would hate seeing the French Grand Prix dropped next year.The French Grand Prix has been on the formula one calender every single year since the Formula One world championship began .The only exception was in 1955.Before Magny-Cours circuit, the French Grand Prix was held on Paul Ricard, circuit which is near Marseille.Before the Marseille circuit, the French Grand Prix had been held at Reims, Rouen, Clermont-Ferrand, Le Mans and Dijon.French Grand Prix is a historical race event in the Formula 1 scene. If Magny-cours is not fit for Formula one next year then French Grand Prix should be held on other french tracks.

"Track was too slippery" said Rossi
The MotoGP race will take place this week end at the Jerez Circuit.The practice session was held today for the Spanish Grand Prix .Valentino Rossi was not satisfied with the track conditions so he did not get the required result from his bike.The pave setter in this practice session was Carlos Checa and Yamaha team must improve their perforance in order to catch him.Valentino Rossi won four times at Jerez circuit but this year ,I don't think he will win at this circuit.Carlos Checa's bike is just to fast for him.Valentino Rossi said this to the media today,
"Really we were struggling too much. The conditions of the track were not perfect and the tyres were spinning too much.We have to work on setting of bike. Dani Pedrosa believes he can win in Jerez

Flavio Briatore is the Renault team boss and his team has won the driver's championship as well as the manufacturer's championship for the last two years.Both those years ,Renault team were using the Michelin tyres but the rule change this year has hit Flavio Briatore's team hard.The new rules change forced all the teams to use only one tyre manufacturer this year.Now all the teams must use the Bridgestone tyres this year.The Renault team boss Flavio Briatore thinks that the Formula 1's new rule to switch to a single tyre supplier has Renault the hardest.In the Australian Grand Prix a couple of days ago, the Renault team could just secure a fifth place from Giancarlo Fisichella in their first Grand Prix race this season.The Renault Formula one car has not raced on Bridgestone tyres for the past seven years and Australian Grand Prix was their first race on those tyres after a long gap.

MotoGP wildcard list announced for Jerez
The wild card list for the Spanish Grand Prix has been announced.The Spanish Grand Prix takes place in the Jerez circuit.The wild card list is for the 125cc and 250cc class.Seven wild card entries have been announced for both the 125cc and 250cc race at the Jerez circuit.Right now ,the 125cc class has seven Spanish riders who are competing full time .They will be joined by three more Spaniard at the Jerez circuit.The three wild card for the 125cc are Daniel Saez who is just 21 years of age and he has already started in six championship races.He will be riding a Quinto Almoradi Aprilia in the next race at the Jerez circuit.Ivan Maestro is another of the three wild card for the 125cc class.He is just 18 years of age and he competed in the last years spanish Grand Prix too.He will be riding a Matteoni Honda.And the third wild card for the 125cc is Pere Tutusaus who is just 16 and will be riding a Machado Aprilia.
The wild cards for the 250cc class are Alex Debon , a veteran who is 31 will be riding a Fortuna Aprilia.Alvaro Molina who is 30 will be riding a GFC version as a wild card in the 250cc race.Santiago Barragan who is 20 years old will be riding a Stop and Go Honda for that race.
There is also a wild card entry for the MotoGP class.A japanese rider Kosuke Akiyoshi will be competing in the Jerez circuit.He is a test rider for the Suzuki team and will be riding for them .

Coulthard accepts blame for crash
At the Australian Grand Prix ,there was an incident involving David Coulthard.David Coulthard is the driver for the Red Bull team.David Coulthard, now 35 years of age was battling for the eleventh place with Alex Wurz who drives for the Williams team.David Coulthard made an ambitious attempt to overtake Alex Wurz in turn three ,the williams driver Alex Wurz made his usual turn in for that corner and both collided heavily.That collision launched David Coulthard's car into the air. Red Bull really does gives you wings seems to be true in this incident. David Coulthard was very lucky not to flip his car otherwise it would have been a nasty accident and some one would have been hurt for sure.The car came to rest in the gravel trap and only the car was damaged.David Coulthard said
"I was coming too fast for the turn. Alex could take no blame there. I accept full responsibility.He was early on the brakes and slow out of first turn, so I went for it. You have to make the most of these opportunities and I thought there was one there. There wasn't, but you're not just gonna sit there and accept your place are you?"
It was Alex Wurz's second start in the formula one circuit after a six years gap and he was clearly frustrated but he controlled his emotions very well.If I were in his place, I would have gone berserk.Alex Wurz said after the race
"It was a bit optimistic. He came from very far back, but that's life. It would have been nice to bring the car through in one piece, but that's life."
Well he can do nothing about it, so he will have to accept that and hope that his next formula one race goes smoothly.

Raikonnen says winning was easy
It was a deminating race by Kimi Raikonnen from the start.This year Ferrari have a great car from what I say from the Australian Grand Prix.Kimi Raikonnen just signed for the Ferrari team this winter and Australian Grand Prix was his first race for the Italian Ferrari team.Even if it was his first race for Ferrari, the Iceman , Kimi Raikonnen has made a flying start with the Ferrari team.He won the Australian Grand Prix very comfortable and Kimi said
“Maybe I was helped at the start, but the car was perfect so bringing it home was what I had to do. I locked a wheel and was looking somewhere else, so it was my mistake. That happens when you don't have to push. It didn't cost me much."

Podium for Lewis Hamilton in his debut

Raikonnen wins the Australian Grand Prix
After qualifying in the first place ,Kimi Raikonnen started the race from the front of the grid and he had some problems in the start.His radio stopped functioning but Kimi Raikonnen knew the race plan so it was not that much of a big deal. Kimi Raikkonen started his challenge for the 2007 Formula One world title as he won the Australian Grand Prix .There was no body to challenge him on that race and he cruised to an easy win in the Australian Grand Prix.He had an incident as the end of the race was coming near. He locked his from wheels because of a lack of concentration on this part but that mistake didn't cost him time of the first place.
I think this is Kimi Raikonnen's year to win the Formula one title .It is very much possible if he has some luck on his side.The Ferrari formula one car was superior to all other cars and even Alonso admitted that he couldn't catch the red Ferrari.

Massa for pole in Australian Grand Prix?
