Arsenal dropped a couple of points last weekend at Birmingham. It was a really silly mistake. Arsenal had it all in the basket but a very silly mistake at the injury time saw Arsenal drop two valuable points. This gave chance to Manchester united and they sure did take the opportunity and closed Arsenal down to three points. Arsenal had to cope with the career threatening injury of Eduardo just at the start of the Birmingham game but still Arsenal should have got all three points. This resulted in a penalty kick to Birmingham which was converted. Arsenal are in a bit of a bad patch now with a lot of injuries and are not playing to their full potential. I hope this gets solved soon because we are nearing the end of the season and I really want to see Arsenal win the league this year. This weekend, Arsenal will have to play Aston Villa who are no pushovers and can cause a lot of problems if Arsenal don't deal with them. Arsenal have a lot tougher games to come than Manchester United till the end of the season (on paper that is) but its football and anything can happen in any match. So I still haven't lost hope.

Last week while playing an away match against Birmingham, Eduardo got a horrendous injury in just the third minute of the start. Taylor, Birmingham's defender made a calculation mistake when making a lunge for the ball. Eduardo, who is a lot quicker moved the ball quickly than Taylor expected and his challenge for the ball ended up being challenge on Eduardo's shin. As soon as Eduardo went down, Fabregas knew it was a very bad injury.

The expression of Fabregas told it all for me. At first I thought it was just a knock. It took 10 minutes for the physio to take Eduardo off on the stretcher. The channel the game was on refused to show the replay deeming it too graphic for viewers. Later on, I searched for it on google and found the horrific injury Eduardo suffered. I hope all the best to Eduardo. I hope the awesome talent doesn't go to waste. It is a career threatening injury but I think Eduardo can come back and be ready for Arsenal in under a year. He is an optimistic person so that could be very possible.

Eduardo will be missing the 2008 Euro though. It is really sad as he was the main force that got Croatia on that international competition. Eduardo has already been released from the hospital and will be able to walk on crutches in about six weeks. So good news for him and all of his fans and Arsenal fans.

After a humilating defeat in the hands of Manchester United, Arsenal's closest rival in the past and a closer runner in the title race this year, Arsenal had to face a very strong Italian side, AC Milan. After this weekend's games played by the two title contenders beside Arsenal, it was all good news for Arsenal. Without even playing a game Arsenal will still be on top of the Premier League as both Manchester United and Chelsea dropped some points. Arsenal have to play Blackburn today at the Emirates Stadium. Arsenal have not been beaten at the Emirates stadium this season so this stat is a bit of a good news. Manchester United lost against Manchester City in a derby game played at Old traford and Chelsea just managed to draw against Liverpool with a very poor performance. Even if Arsenal drop points today, they will be still on top of the league table. I hope Arsenal beat Blackburn and extend the points gap on the top to five. There are some injury worries for Arsenal thou, especially at the back.

Blackburn like to play a rough game. If it were last year, Arsenal might have dropped points but this season the Arsenal youngsters have toughened up so not much of a problem in that department.

After the recent penalization by google to all blogs affiliate to pay per post aka IZEA, they decided to develop their own raking systems and not to rely on any ranking given by google (page rank). IzEA's Real Rank is said to be more accurate and up to date traffic ranking system. We will have to wait and see if it is accurate. From what I have seen today, it looks great. The traffic stats for my blogs seems accurate enough.

For the month of January 2008, Emmanuel Adebayor has been chosen as the player of the month by Arsenal.com . Emmanual Adebayor recently has been firing on all cylinders and is scoring goals for fun. In the last seven games, Emmanuel Adebayor has scored ten goals which is just phenomenal. I still am not fond of Emmanuel Adebayor but this season he has improved his game a lot, I mean a lot. Recently he has become quite arrogant since his form has taken off. This can't be good for the club or his colleagues.

He might just get too big for himself and the club. I can't deny the great form he has been in but I hate the arrogant nature he has acquired recently (he should consider being a bit more humble). Well we will all have to just wait and see where this goes.

Other than that, he is scoring goals for fun and is tied for the top goals scorer with Christiano Ronaldo. Emmanuel Adebayor won the Arsenal Player of the month with a landslide vote of 71.4%. Second in line was Mathieu Flamini.

Arsenal have drawn Manchester United for their next FA Cup tie. Arsenal had beaten Newcastle in the previous FA Cup round and now there is another tough game in the horizon. After last weekend's matches, there was position changes on the top of the table. Arsenal won their match against Manchester City away from home. Arsenal vs Manchester City was the first match of the day and Arsenal just couldn't afford dropping points. Manchester United and Chelsea were playing right after Arsenal's match. I was very glad to see Manchester United dropping a couple of points with a draw. Chelsea also just managed to get a draw. After all these games ended, Arsenal were back on top of the Barclays Premier League.

Arsenal were clear by two points ahead of Manchester United. Manchester United slipped up but the title race is still open and anything can still happen. There is still quite a long way to go before the end of the season.

Arsenal had a great start and were playing their trademark football from the start and just at the 9 minute mark, Arsenal were 1 goal up. Emmanuel Adebayor who just can't stop scoring goals scored the first goal for Arsenal from Bacary Sagna's cross. It was a bit of a lucky goal but still a goal is a goal.

At the mid way thought the first half, Arsenal scored again with the help of the new arsenal striker Eduardo Da Silva. The goal was brilliantly constructed by Arsenal with another of their flowing moves which ended in Adebayor cushioned header to Eduardo who score a magnificent overhead kick which resulted in Arsenal's second goal.

Just after Arsenal's second goal, Manchester city were back in the game with a goal of their own which in part was a mistake from Gael Clichy as much as the determination of Verdan Corluka who stole the ball away from Clichy at the touch line and passed it to Fernandes who consequently scored. In the second half, Arsenal were in a bit of a back foot playing a bit conservatively. Manchester City created some half chances in the second half but failed to convert any. Just before the full time, Adebayor scored another goal for Arsenal which killed off the game.
