Arsenal's new signing, Andrei Arshavin is yet to debut for the club and as we know Arsene Wenger takes his time to give a new player a game, he won't be playing in the next Arsenal match for sure.
Arshavin is 27 years old and it was quite a surprise Wenger choose to buy him as Arsene doesn't like to buy old players. Arshavin is a very exciting flair player. Andrei Arshavin can play as a second striker or as a winger/attacking midfielder. Arsenal need versatility as they seem to have a lot of players on the injury list in the past couple of years and I hope Arshavin won't be in one of them.

Well, nothing new on the Arsenal front, one good thing thou, none of Arsenal's players who went out on International duty got injured. Lets see how things pan out with the new signing. I was hoping for some more signings in the January transfer window (a central defender and a defensive midfielder) but will have to satisfy with 1, i guess. I hope we sign an experienced top quality a central defender and a defensive midfielder in the summer transfer window and a striker if possible (preferably, David Villa).

After a long wait, wenger has signed one top class player. In the post couple of months we all saw that the youth project was not working as planned and there were average players who got picked week in week out to play for Arsenal's first team.
There are quite a few average players on the Arsenal squad who are not qualified to player for Arsenal. The first name that comes to mind is Emmanual Eboue, he is a good right back but nothing else but wenger never drops him and plays him way way out of position, why? Song is another one of the average players.
Arsenal need top class players if they are to win the anything but Wenger seems he doesn't want to spend any cash and thinks he can win title with average kids.
At last we get one top class player. Arsene Wenger signed Andrei Arshavin from Zenit St Petersburg after a long and frustrating January transfer window.
The fee for Andrei Arshavin is undisclosed but it is said by some sources to be around £15 million. Andrei Arshavin signed a contract for three-and-a-half years and I hope those years would be beneficial for Arsenal.
Arshavin said :
"I'm a Gunner. I'm happy to be at Arsenal. I like Arsenal's style. I like Arsene Wenger as a coach. I like some of the players from this team."
We got an experienced top quality player but I fear that it will not be enough to salvage Arsenal's season. We need another two-three top quality players with some experience. We need a Central Defender and a Defensive Midfielder atleast.
Arshavin still hasn't debut for Arsenal so don't know if the signing will have any impact or not. Lets see how things unfold.
