Football: Arsenal Transfer Rumors

Now that Arsenal's season is all but lost without any silverware, the only thing to look forward to for the next couple of months it the transfer rumors that are linked with Arsenal.

Recently there has been some transfer rumors linking Alexander Hleb to Inter Milan. Alexander Hleb still has 2 years left in his contract and Arsene Wenger doesn't want to sell him. Wenger says, he will report Inter Milan to Fifa about how they approached Alex Hleb.

Mathieu Flamini might leave Arsenal as his contract is up this summer and he still hasn't signed a new deal with Arsenal. He is currently linked with a move to AC Milan. I think that is a very bad move on his part. He won't be as good as he is at Arsenal as it is the style of play and the players around him that makes him what he is at Arsenal. Well he has until this Monday at the most to sign a new contract with Arsenal.

The most recent rumors in the transfer market that are linked with Arsenal is Barcelona and Francesc Fabregas. It is rediculous. Arsene Wenger will never sell Fabregas, well not in the near future.

Barcelona are planning an audacious £30m bid for Arsenal's Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas. The Catalan club may offer Samuel Eto'o, Deco, Eidur Gudjohnsen or former Gunner Thierry Henry in a part-exchange deal. (Daily Star)

That is a bit flattering but that is not going to happen. Fabregas is an integral part of Arsenal and Wenger won't sell the teams engine.

Another player that is linked to Arsenal but this time, coming to Arsenal is David Villa. I would like nothing more than to see David Villa at Arsenal next season but Real Madrid has reportedly made an offer to Valencia worth £24m. Tottenham has also shown interest in David Villa but the player has come out and said he won't play for the spuds. The most likely team he would join in England is Arsenal if Wenger can cough up some cash for him.

Tottenham look set to miss out on Valencia striker David Villa as Real Madrid have made a £24m bid for the Spain international.

Lets see what happens. Arsenal Wenger Plz bring David Villa to Arsenal next season, we need a striker of his capacity.

Football: Arsenal vs Fulham

Arsenal had to play fulham today at the same time as Manchester United. Both Arsenal and Manchester United are battling for the top spot and Manchester United are on top by goal difference right now. Arsenal had to play a fulham side that is struggling to stay afloat in the premiership.

Manchester United had to play another struggling side, Reading and it looked like an almost certain win for both teams and that is what happened. Manchester United scored two goals in the whole game without conceding a goal and got a victory against reading. Reading played very well but Manchester United were just too much for them.

Arsenal had a much easier match that Manchester United and as expected they got a 3-0 victory against Fulham. Arsenal were dropping balls in from the by line and the tactic was fruitful as Adebayor scored two headers from two magnificent cross, one from Gael Clichy and the other one from Alexander Hleb. You can read the full match review of Arsenal 3-0 Fulham here.

Manchester United are still on top but just on goal difference. Anything can happen in the coming months so I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Football: Arsenal vs Chelsea

Arsenal had to play one of the Englands Top four club, Chelsea. It was a home game and was played at the Emirates stadium. A lot of key Arsenal were injured during the week but Fabregas, Flamini and Hleb all started the match. The formation Arsenal play with was a kind of 4-4-1-1 with Hleb playing behind Adebayor. Arsene Wenger has almost given him a free role. The match was not at all disappointing. Hard tackles were flying all around the park and one of the key Chelsea player, John Terry got injured from a rash challenge by Emanuel Eboue. John Terry had to be substituted.

Arsenal were playing a bit better than Chelsea and created some chances. Right at the end of the first half, Arsenal got a corner and William Gallas scored from it. It was all thank to Peter Cech's bad judgment. It was an open game in the second half and still there were hard tackles coming from all directions and there were some flash points. Remember, Arsenal and Chelsea's Carling Cup final game last year?

Chelsea had to come out and attach arsenal's back line to level the score line but that left Chelsea vulnerable to superfast counter attacks by Arsenal. There were a lot of chances created at both ends and the scoreline could have been anything but with luck, good defense and great technical ability, Arsenal managed to survive and the scoreline at the end of the final whistle was Arsenal 1-0 Chelsea. This was Arsenal's first win against chelsea since February 2004 and managed to regain the Barclays Premier League's top spot from Manchester Untied who had occupied the spot for a couple of hours.

Arsenal have already qualified for the champion's league in second place behind Sevilla . Now other teams that qualified in first place must be a bit worried. Football: Arsenal vs Aston Villa Preview

After loosing their first match against Sevilla, Arsenal now have to play their first Barklays Premier League game against, Aston Villa. Aston Villa are a good team and Arsenal should not under estimate them. Aston Villa's young talented striker, Gabriel Agbonlahor is in great form and has been scoring goals for fun for both his club Aston Villa and the England Under 21 team.

Arsenal will play Aston Villa tomorrow away from home at Villa Park. Arsenal are the in form team in the Barklays Premier League right now and I hope it stays that way till the end of the season. Arsenal are three points ahead of the second team in the league, Manchester United with a game in hand.

After the Sevilla game, Arsenal's in form star mid-fielder, Francesc Fabregas is injured and will not be featured against Aston Villa. That would be quite a relief for Aston Villa but still Arsenal have enough talent to get a win at Villa Park.

Football season

Football is a great sport and any professional football league especially in Europe has a very long season and very little breaks. The season starts in about august and ends at the end of march. So a season for a professional club is about eight months long. Its a long time and all the football players have to be physically fit to play in any professional leagues. And the league that has the least number of breaks is English Premier League.About a week of holidays in eight months of matches and tough fixtures.Other professional leagues such as Italian Serie A ,Bundeshliga,Spanish liga has about a month of break in the winter season but English Premier League has the just about one week so breaks and thats in the Christmas period .And after that the season goes on as usual.I believe that English Premier League because the clubs has to play in four cup competitions ,The FA Cup,The league itself, the Champions league,Carling Cup and UEFA Cup for the lower teams in the league table. This season is about to end.Just about two months left and there will be about four months of gap after that before the next season starts.
